Youth Exchange and Study Program (YES)

YES Consortium

YES Consortium

A unique aspect of YES is that it leverages the strengths of several consortia of like-minded exchange organizations, enabling the YES Program to operate in over 25 countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

For students from Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mozambique, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Turkey, five exchange organizations work in partnership to arrange the homestays and support host families and students throughout the exchange: AFS-USA (formerly the American Field Service), AIFS Foundation (American Institute for Foreign Study Foundation), CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange), PAX (Program of Academic Exchange) and ACES (American Cultural Exchange Service).

Together these organizations represent more than a century of experience delivering quality exchange programs.

The AFS consortium is not the only group hosting YES students. YES scholarships are also provided to students from countries such as Afghanistan, Morocco, Jordan and Nigeria, through other US and internationally based organizations such as AYUSA and Amideast.
