Impact Stories

Being and working in a team has been enjoyable for me.  The day when I chose my classes, I did not have any idea about most of the classes to take.  I chose five of the classes and only one open slot remained.  Finally, my host mom, local coordinator, and host dad suggested that I take the Sports Medicine class.  They said that if you take this class you will make a lot of friends.  They were right. 

My class has worked in a team to support our school's athletes on the field.  I think it is amazing to be a sports medicine student and serve the athletes.  It was honorable for me to be a member of sports medicine, walking through the field with everybody respecting me.  

I remember one time, I was on the field and it was a football game.  I walked amongst the players, and suddenly I heard someone call my name.  When I looked at him, it was a family friend, he took my picture and his wife cheered for me and called out my name as I walked by.
