Fun Being a Big Sister

I am living with a family that has two lovely kids.  Faraya is 4 years old and Sorosh is 2 years old.  Every day I have a lovely story with them.  Although Faraya is four, she is very talkative and active.  She loves princess cartoons and I have seen almost all the princess movies with her.  Sorosh is only two, but he is as active as a six year old.  He loves Thomas the Train.

When we go somewhere, Faraya always introduces me as her big sister, which I love.  Last week we were at a restaurant my friend's family owns.  As usual, Faraya said that I am her big sister.  My friend's mother asked me how old I am, and I said seventeen.  She told my host mom how lucky she is that she still seems very young to have a seventeen year old.  Everyone started to laugh.  My friend's mother was confused about why we were laughing because she did not know about me.  Then I explained to her that I am an exchange student.

Sometimes I clean my room and arrange all my clothes and Faraya starts to cry and think that it means that I am leaving.  I tell her that I am not leaving, and she says that I should stop cleaning my room if I am not leaving. That is why being a sister for two little kids is very cool.  I want to thank my host family for hosting me - I love them.
