Unbelieveable New Experiences
I am one of the lucky exchange students who had the privilege to be placed in Minnesota, which is officially the most livable state in America. I had a very colorful and artistic view of nature in Minnesota in the fall and experienced a historic winter in my own life, but with lots of fun an adventures around. I learned something that I thought impossible to learn in my life - skiing. I skied for the school ski team, and besides that I also learned ice fishing, ice skating and many other winter activities.
I have been enjoying learning, teaching and sharing every moment of my exchange year with my kind and caring host family. I have been experiencing the coolest education system in the world in the Academy for Sciences and Agriculture High School. Through the community I have been a part of the church's youth group doing different voluntary works such as Feed My Starving Children, working with Community Service Centers and much more.
Through my exchange year, my life is shaped differently after experiencing all that I never thought of and improving my leadership skills. I have been having a great time teaching and sharing my knowledge about Islam, Afghanistan, Afghan culture and people. Learning about U.S. culture, democracy, government and improving my general knowledge about America has been an experience I never thought I would get to have and one like never before.
