Partner Countries
AFS Partner Organizations in the countries where students live are responsible for recruitment, selection, orientation and alumni development of their YES students.
Students who participate in the YES Program are selected in an open, merit-based competition and reflect a wide range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds within their own countries. The three-tiered selection process includes a written application, in-person interview, and final screening by a national selection committee. Students who are accepted are provided a full scholarship to study in the U.S.
The YES Program also welcomes students with disabilities and works with US organization Mobility International to help support students on-program.
