Students Volunteer for Special Olympics Event

Group With Banner Web Small

YES students from Yemen, Pakistan, Kosovo and Gaza, together with a Congress-Bundestag student from Germany, spent a glorious day on the mountains volunteering at the Special Olympics snowshoe competition! The students, all hosted in Maine, served as heat leaders, assisting some of the nearly 275 athletes with navigating the track, logistics and snowshoe gear, while also cheering them from the sidelines.

Special Olympics provides sports training and athletic competitions for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
