Throughout our year-long experiences in the United States, and over the years that followed our return, the YES alumni from Israel (Arab Communities) learned that families aren't always biological. That is why, on May 31, 2015, we gathered together to celebrate our YES family in honor of International Day of Families.

On that sunny afternoon, we came together and met in a local park in Tel Aviv. Right after having lunch, we reminisced about our YES experiences, did a few team-building activities and focused on reinforcing our ties of friendship with one another. We also discussed our role as YES alumni within our community and stressed the importance of our commitment to the principles of mutual understanding and diversity. It was a great family reunion!
