YES Students Help Girls Make a Difference

Ken Mercy In Oconomowoc Girl Scout World Thinking Day Cloth Tying

Since 1926, Girl Scouts have been celebrating World Thinking Day in February as a way to learn about other cultures, be inspired by new international friendships and hopefully make a difference regarding global issues that affect girls and young women.

This year, Mercy from Kenya, who is hosted in Oconomowoc, WI with AFS, had a chance to help the local Brownie Girl Scout Troop learn more about her home country, and their activities were featured in the local paper!
