YES students engage in host communities through community service, cultural exchange events, and extracurricular activities.
Community service is one of the pillars of the YES program. Since 2003, YES students have completed nearly 944,000 hours of community service in the United States.
International Education Week (IEW) is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of Education and Department of State to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This year, YES students gave 1,948 presentations that reached 40,000 Americans.
95% of YES students are involved with extracurricular activities at their host schools such as sports teams, band, debate team, and many more.
