Alumni from Sana’a organized a cleanup activity at Al-Sabeen Park on last October. As part of an international environmental awareness campaign, YES alumni, English Access Microscholarship students, and AMIDEAST student interns participated in this event. The goal of the activity was to raise public awareness about the environment, and to encourage residents to be more active in their communities.

After the clean up event, the Yemen Times and National Yemen conducted interviews with alumni and took pictures. Articles were published during the week of October 17th 2010.
