On March 22, YES alumni led by Doga Huner (YES '20, placed with World Link in Pleasant Hill, IA) joined in an Empathy Walk in support of World Water Day.
They shared, "As YES Alumni Turkey, we walk together on the Intercity Istanbul Park F1 track in order to empathize with thousands of people walking 6 km every day to access water on earth, to draw attention to the water crisis in our country and to raise awareness about the global water crisis for World Water Day. The Empathy Walk aims to empathize with people who walk for water every day. Every step we take on the Intercity Istanbul Park Formula 1 track, with the same length as the "Water Walk", means meeting the clean water needs of the people in neglected geographies with your support. You can support the Empathy Walk with your donations."
IDEA Universal, an independent and transparent non-governmental organization working for a fair world where everyone has access to sustainable water, agriculture, energy and education, aims to raise awareness about the global water crisis for World Water Day with the Empathy Walk.
