On April 18, four American high school students who are studying in Malaysia as part of the Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Abroad met with U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Maura Pally for “High Tea” at Carcosa Seri Negara. The students provided feedback on their experiences as American high school students in Malaysia. All were very positive and said that they feel safe and welcome in Malaysia and that they are having a rewarding growth experience. All four students said that, if given the opportunity to do it all over again, they would, without hesitation, choose to come to Malaysia again.
