Design Thinking Workshop 1

Are you passionate about Design Thinking or curious about learning more? Design thinking is a process for problem solving that utilizes creative skills to address a variety of challenges. The virtual Design Thinking for YES workshop will train YES alumni to think strategically and creatively about the issues their communities face. Workshop sessions will be led by design thinking experts and will focus on leadership mindset, problem solving, innovation, brainstorming, and collaboration and will especially focus on the growth and sustainability of YES alumni projects.

The workshop will be a series of online trainings over the course of nine weeks, from October 12 to December 8, 2020. The first six weeks will be the most intensive, including mandatory weekly online instruction and asynchronous assignments. After the weekly sessions for six weeks, participants will have optional individualized mini-coaching sessions for three weeks to finish developing a project proposal that outlines an innovative, solution-based project that addresses a need in their community. By the completion of the workshop participants will have developed a project proposal that outlines an innovative, solution-based project that addresses a need of their community.
