After participating in the 2021 Virtual IDEAL Workshop in March and learning about digital marketing, Klodian Gjonpalaj (YES 2019-2020, Albania, placed by AFS in Alexandria, VA) decided to implement a follow-on project in his hometown of Bathore. IDEAL follow-on grants give workshop participants the opportunity to pass on what they learned at the workshop to people in their local communities.
Klodian used his grant funds to organize a workshop called “Digital Marketing Bathore,” a one-day event that taught 17 high school and university students about digital marketing. They learned about the principles of digital marketing, advertising, and the relationship between sellers and consumers. The participants noted the workshop was interesting and useful because they learned things they can use in their everyday life, studies, or work.
