On April 3, 2013, students in Bangladesh held a workshop in Dhaka for twenty female high school students from various schools in the community to help them develop their leadership skills. YES Alumni Training of Trainers graduates Tasmeem Mehazbeen Hossain and Mohammad Mustahsin Islam led the program discussions. The workshop worked to help these females identify themselves as potential leaders in addition to teaching them the about human and women's rights, how to tackle social challenges, and building confidence and teamwork.

Following the workshop, these students were mentored for fifteen days as they worked to implement a community development project in their own neighborhoods. This was aimed to help the workshop participants hone the leadership skills they had learned. These projects included a relief distribution program for a recent tornado in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh, a daylong science-laboratory exhibition for young orphans to encourage them to pursue careers in science, a cleanliness awareness program for the underserved students of Smallfoot, a YES Alumni Bangladesh project, the creation of a school club that pledged to keep its community clean and aware of environmental issues, the establishment of the "Young Women Club," which aimed to help young women promote leadership and volunteerism. On April 20, 2013, the twenty young women gathered and presented their projects to an audience that included teachers, U.S. Embassy officials, and a female US State Alumni.
