An Important Collaboration During International Education Week

Alumni present for IEW!

To celebrate International Education Week (IEW), EducationUSA in Sana’a, Yemen hosted an event called Living the Dream in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy. Approximately 90 attendees came to hear about what they should do to prepare themselves for their dream of studying aborad, and a panel of three U.S. Department of State program alumni, including Mazen al-Badany YES ’12, shared the steps they took for their U.S. exchange experience. Upon successful completion of the panel discussion, event attendees were welcomed to chat with the Department of State alumni about their experiences in the U.S.

All of the YES alumni present spoke with a variety of individuals, some of whom had never been exposed to exchange programs or the idea of study abroad. The event provided opportunities for the alumni to share their experiences and further promoted IEW, which celebrates the benefits of international education and exchanges worldwide. IEW strives to prove that international education is for everyone. This event, with the efforts of the YES alumni, helped in accomplishing that goal.
