Inkush Beitak - The 10th Year

Continuing their tradition of community support and volunteerism, YES alumni in Jordan proudly hosted the 10th annual Inkush Beitak or “Pick Your House” project. This year’s event, held in collaboration with the Ghadeer Altayer Organization, took place in the governate of Mafraq. The project focused on gathering donations of clothes, shoes, and toys to distribute to families through a bazaar-style event.

A family shopping at the bazaar with tables of donations

On November 8, 11 YES alumni and 13 volunteers gathered at the Amideast/Jordan office to sort and categorize the generous donations. Each item was carefully organized and labeled to ensure a smooth and efficient distribution process.

The following day, the volunteers met early in the morning at Amideast, where they loaded all the donations onto buses and made their way to Mafraq. The event was hosted at the Ghadeer Altayer Organization, where the donations were arranged in a shopping store layout and made available to beneficiaries free of charge. Attendees were welcomed to browse the items and choose what they needed, with the alumni and volunteers helping throughout the day.

Thanks to the efforts of all involved, over 200 families benefitted from the bazaar, bringing a sense of unity and support to the community.
