Language Tree

Group of students who participated in the event are holding posters highlighting different languages of the world

In celebration of International Education Week (IEW), four YES alumni in Kosovo, in partnership with the American Corner in Prishtina, organized the Language Tree event for 16 middle school students. The activity allowed participants to learn more about the languages of the world in an effort to promote communication and diversity.

During the activity, participants were divided into four groups, with each group assigned one of the four main branches of the language tree. It was fun to watch the students express their creativity and get competitive with one another. Their hard work culminated in a presentation about what they learned during the day, bringing all four branches together to create a whole tree.
