On April 12, alumni visited an elderly home in Achrafieh, Lebanon to mark the annual celebration of Global Youth Service Day. During their visit, alumni spent quality time with the seniors, and worked together with them to decorate candles for Palm Sunday; the plan was to donate the candles to a nearby orphanage. As the activity continued, some of the seniors became attached to their crafts and wanted to light the candles themselves on Palm Sunday. Some even said that the activity reminded them of the "good old days." The alumni decided to keep the candles for the seniors at the elderly home, which made the residents very happy. This was a great event!
