Yazan’s world has gotten smaller as he has connected with people from across the globe.
As student graduate from the Kennedy-Lugar Youth and Exchange Study program, they make a committment to community service in their home communities. In order to fulfill their vow, 20 Senegalese alumni commited to volunteer their time and resources to a local orphanage.
The children home called “Pouponniere des Soeurs Franciscaines” is located in Medina, Dakar. It is home to about 80 orphans, aged 0 to 2 years. in addition to spending valuable time with the infants, YES alumni provided much needed necessities such as milk and diapers.
