There is a Chinese proverb that roughly translates to “May you live in interesting times.” Well, our current times certainly are interesting! We are faced with the need to isolate and stay inside, yet still keep our inner desire to better ourselves and achieve more. Former and current alumni coordinators of the YES program in Bulgaria have found a great way to make that possible with their “Step Into The Future Webinars.”

These webinars have provided a great platform to share interesting topics with YES alumni. A large number of people have tuned into the webinars and have taken a great interest in other alumni’s experiences, the choices they made, and where it led them in life. There were numerous questions asked and the discussion took on a life of its own. These webinars have not only been a great way to share knowledge, but also an outlet for alumni to stay in touch with one another, and to get to know the new members of the community.

The greatest lesson learned from these webinars is that one never stops learning. Participants were able to find out new information and explore different perspectives they may not have thought of before. These webinars allowed alumni to truly expand their knowledge.
