Abdulaziz reflects on the highlights from serving as a mentor for CEW.
By Nida Ali (YES 2019-20, Pakistan, hosted by ACES in Marysville, CA)
I have always dreamed about being a wrestler but I never got a chance to try wrestling in Pakistan. However, this year I joined the Marysville high school wrestling team. I have participated in three tournaments so far and I have won three medals. As soon as I shared my achievements on social media, I got contacted by a number of news channels and they published my achievements in news, magazines, and newspapers because girls wrestling is not a common thing in my country.

This is the proudest moment for me as I know I have made a difference in my own society. My goal for next semester is to practice hard and make it to the states as a wrestler. Thank you so much YES for providing me with this golden opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and make a difference!
