As the summer comes to an end, the U.S. Embassy’s Palestinian Affairs Unit organized a virtual quiz night for 20 YES alumni from West Bank and Gaza. On September 6, Riad Mustafa, the CEO of “Quiz Night”, hosted this game night. Since 1996, Riad has been the presenter of “Quiz Night,” an entertainment program in Ramallah. The YES alumni were excited to participate in some trivia with a local celebrity! 

Participants used Zoom and Kahoot for the game night platforms. Zoom was the platform for the participants to chat with each other, while Kahoot was the platform used to sign onto the quizzes and answer the questions. Riad kicked off the night with an overview of the rules and the different trivia categories. There were six rounds of quizzes, and each category had multiple choice questions. After the end of each round, Riad calculated the scores. 

As the night came to an end, the scores were very close, yet there was one winner who topped all scores. YES alumnus Mohammed Fitiani from the West Bank achieved the highest score and everyone congratulated him at the end of this game night.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and friendly competition. Not only did the alumni learn some new trivia while playing a fun game, but they also got a chance to reconnect with their fellow YES alumni from both West Bank and Gaza.
