Many of the YES alumni who participated in the Interfaith Harmony Workshop (IHW) in March 2016 have completed follow-up projects in their home countries. In November, Khloud AlZu'bi (YES 2012 - 2013, hosted by PAX in Santa Fe, NM), joined in!

Khloud brought together nine YES alumni and four American students who are studying abroad in Jordan and she hosted a full day of activities centered on learning skills for interfaith dialogue. Khloud took inspiration from the IHW events in Morocco. She held sessions on deep listening and sharing stories, and added her own spin by showing relevant videos to supplement discussions on beliefs and culture. 

The purpose of the event was to increase understanding, respect, and relationships between people of all faiths, beliefs, and cultures in order to dispel tension that stems from ignorance, stereotyping, and marginalization. Khloud was up for the challenge, and helped prepare these 13 people to continue this important work!
