Two Kenyan YES alumni, Christine Odera (YES 2009-2010, hosted by AFS in Sheboygan, WI) and Mohamed Abubaker (YES 2008-2009, hosted by AFS in New Alexandria, PA) were among a group of students from the United States International University- Kenya, who created a video to honor the victims of the recent terrorist attack in Garissa. Not only that, Christine was actually the producer of the video.

YES alumna Ann Ndegwa writes, "The video was made on the heels of the recent terrorist attack in Garissa, Kenya which left almost 150 students dead and many others seriously injured. The main message being that TERRORISM HAS NO RELIGION. Take a look and let's continue to be ambassadors of peace and change.”
