YES alumni from 12 countries are in Alexandria, VA this week for a social entrepreneur leadership workshop! Alumni from Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mozambique, Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, and Turkey, as well as YES Abroad alumni from the U.S. will be gaining social entrepreneur project development and leadership skills to support them as changemakers in their local communities and the world.

They'll be practicing elevator pitches, learning how to build and sustain an effective team, and discovering best practices for storytelling. Several alumni are leading sessions on budgeting and using social media in awareness raising campaigns.

Alumni will also be visiting Congressional Representatives and their staffers on Capitol Hill to promote the positive impact exchanges have on communities around the world.
