This year's Bangladesh International Exchange Alumni General Assembly took place on July 6, 2013 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka organized the event and invited guests such as the Ambassador to the United States in Bangladesh, H.E. Dan Mozena, and Cultural Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy, Bilal Faruqi. Around 70 YES alumni were present at the event and some volunteered at the event. YES alumnus Mohammad Mustahsin Islam and the Executive Committee of YES Alumni Bangladesh were awarded the Alumni Excellence Award by Ambassador Mozena. They were praised for their strong commitment to volunteerism and for their engagement in the YES alumni network. The event received media attention from electronic media sources and National Daily's.
