16804918975 052daba344

YES students Aqdas Khan (Pakistan), Vanessa Yambazi (Tanzania) and Victor Amine (Nigeria) were the feature entertainment at a dinner commemorating the 55th anniversary of Dinuba Kiwanis and the 100th anniversary of Kiwanis International in early March. The students, hosted by World Link in Dinuba and Reedley, CA, had the honor of sharing their culture with nearly 200 attendees who came out to celebrate.

They wore their native attire and set up presentation boards about their cultures. During the evening, some even got up on stage to sing traditional songs and perform native dances. They also had the opportunity to sit at tables with the other guests and get to know them.

At the end of the evening, Kiwanis District Governor Alan Guire thanked the YES students for sharing their culture and noted, "We are truly a Global family."

Thank you, Dinuba Kiwanis and Kiwanis International for giving YES students the opportunity to share their culture! For more information about the event, read the story written in the local news.
