Congratulations YES Malaysia Alumni!

YES Alumni Malaysia received the Alumni Spotlight Award this evening for their Paint for Peace project, a public event to raise awareness of peace through intercultural understanding.
 
Alumni from Kuwait and Palestine also received the Spotlight Award, which was announced at the YES Alumni Conference in Washington DC.
 
Conference participants Yah Tyng Ng, ’06 and Jessica Kan, ’05 accepted the award for Malaysian alumni.
 
The Alumni Spotlight Award was developed to celebrate 5 years of YES and recognize the creative projects and community service programs many of the YES alumni associations have organized over the past five years.
 
The award was given to country alumni associations that best met the following criteria:
 
Demonstrated leadership
 
Successful outcomes
Group involvement and participation
 
Helped foster community building
 
Encouraged volunteerism
 
Creative fund raising
