Abdulaziz reflects on the highlights from serving as a mentor for CEW.
Each November in Lebanon, the English Access Microscholarship Program hosts its annual Halloween party. The party is way for English students to learn about American culture and experience the festivities involved with this popular holiday. This year, 20 YES alumni volunteered with the event by hosting workshops, explaining the tradition and activities, and creating activity stations. Students learned about the American holiday, carved a Jack O’ Lanterns, and dressed up in costumes. YES alumni enjoyed the opportunity to relive their American Halloween experiences and share the festivities with their Lebanese peers!
