The U.S. Ambassador to Turkey hosted Metin Şentürk and his wife Fulya Şentürk along with YES alumnae Zeynep Barrak at his residence. Metin Senturk is the founder of World Handicapped Association and an artist. Zeynep Barak participated in the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study program (YES) in 2009 and currently she is a freshman at Hacettepe University.

The Ambassador said that both Metin and Zeynep set great examples for individuals with disabilities. He also emphasized her courageousness as she did not have her disability stop her from making her dreams come through. He also encouraged any bright and open minded high school student to apply for this prestigious program.
