The U.S. Ambassador to Jordan, Stuart E. Jones, joined more than 100 enthusiastic youth volunteers, on Saturday 15th of June, 2013, for a tree planting community service project in Wadi Qattar.  The event kicked off 10,000 Trees Campaign in celebration of the 10^th anniversary of the Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program.  

The eco-friendly project involved YES alumni, their friends, and members from the local community.  Husam Shaltoni, YES Alum ’07 said, “It was a marvelous event. Our efforts combined made the idea a reality! We have, literally, changed part of the world! Happy 10th anniversary to the YES Program!”

AMIDEAST is providing facilitation and support for the 10,000 Trees Campaign, and partnering with the Anti-Desertification Project of Greater Amman Municipality.
