YES Students Reach Lofty Goal for Community Fundrasier

Yasemin Zrafi Tun Aces Cluster Sd 0

YES students hosted by ACES in Sioux Falls, South Dakota volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House foundation last weekend and raised $1,650 by selling raffle tickets. This is more than the last two years’ worth of raffle ticket sales combined. There are two Ronald McDonald Houses which provide free housing for families while they visit/stay with their children who are receiving treatment at the two local hospitals.

The YES scholars will attend a meeting with the board of directors for the Sioux Falls chapter to learn more about how the Ronald McDonald House local chapter is organized, how the organization is managed and funded and to discuss the need in their home countries for similar organizations. The students will also give country presentations to the board of directors to promote the YES program.
